Uses. This combination medication is used for a short time (usually less than 10 days) to help relieve moderate to severe pain. It contains an opioid (narcotic) pain reliever (hydrocodone) and a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-NSAID (ibuprofen).

Vicoprofen contains a combination of hydrocodone and ibuprofen. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. MISUSE OF NARCOTIC MEDICINE CAN CAUSE ADDICTION, OVERDOSE, OR DEATH, especially in a child or other person using Vicoprofen without a prescription.
